General Data Protection Regulations 2018

To comply with the current legislation on data protection we must tell customers what personnel information we hold about them and have their permission to retain it. We store data about clients to ensure we can contact them by mail, telephone or email:

• in an emergency
• about bookings or reminders
• to send any newsletter or information

Any data we hold will not be provided to any other other person, business or organisation except as required by law. For the smooth and efficient running of Willow Cattery we need to keep a record of:

• name and address
• landline and mobile numbers
• email address
• details of cat(s)
• name of veterinary surgeon
• contact details of another responsible person in case of an emergency

We are also required to notify customers that under GDPR 2018 individuals have certain rights regarding their data:

• the right to be informed
• the right of access
• the right of rectification
• the right to erasure
• the right to restrict processing
• the right to data portability
• the right to object
• the right not to be subject to automated decision-making including profiling

In order that the veterinary practice can discuss your cat's history with us, you must ensure that you give the relevant permission to the practice and that the permission is registered on your records.
